the cow sunglasses holder thing is still on my desk and tis still a mystery as to where they came from.

Anna, so I am sitting here googling (I swear) +cow +sunglass +holder for my dear (albeit slightly compulsive) husband who had this excrutiatingly ugly thing a few years ago, If it is the same as yours it attached to a car visor and holds this seasons mildly stylish $5 sunglasses purchased at a rest area on 95. His poor cow eventually broke and was tossed. Do you actually have one of these?
